Emilie Vernet, aged 9, is shown in chest, face, body oriented three-quarters to the left. She wears a white satin dress; a matching hat landed on his hair reassembled. In 1769-1771 years Lepicie runs the portraits of three children of Joseph Vernet painter with which he is linked, Livio (1747-1827), Carle (1758-1836) and Emilie (1760-1794). The Emilia portrait is probably the first. Born in 1760, she married the architect François-Thérèse Chalgrin in 1776. Compromise in a theft case at the Chateau de la Muette, she was arrested June 25, 1794 and will be guillotined on July 24 of that year.
